Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Half-way through House MD Season 3, I couldn't resist but to take a small peek into Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The urge was killing me. Once I've succumbed to the temptation, there was no turning back. I only fell deeper and deeper into the story which I have loyally followed for the past few years.

It's difficult to review without revealing spoilers. So I invite whoever that is interested to discussion about the book to talk to me online.

All in all, this is one hell of a book. Everything that has happened over the past 6 books have finally made sense. The progress of the fiction was very well planned, with LOADS of action involved. It changes your perception on some characters, while Rowling guarantees a whole of deaths. She's sooo evil, killing off some of the most well-loved characters. Isn't it nice, I mean, you get to kill as many as you want like the tradition Chinese Emperor, and end up richer than the Queen of England. Sweet!

She looks like royalty already. Lookie at her BLinGs... So flashy huh? Everyone wants to be an author now, lol!

Definitely a must-read! For those who doesn't want to buy, find me ;)
Don't ask me for spoilers, I will knock you on the head with the hardcover version of it.
(I'm serious)
If you have read the earlier editions, and do not plan to continue, go flush yourself down the toilet bowl.

Now I can go back to House MD Season 3 in peace!

New Specs

I know I'm pretty blind, gonna be eligible to challenge the bat's eyesight soon. Since it's more or less out of my conscious control, I've decided I might as well go blind gracefully (excuses...) My eye power is ridiculously horrible okay? *Depressed* Couldn't see with my old glasses anymore.

Don't have to remind me that I'm a poser, this is an old photo.

Emporio Armani frames that I love so much, made of lightweight titanium, a perfect complement to my thick and heavy lenses. Branded frame at 50% discount! It's nearly impossible to resist. I know I'm so cheapskate, lalala... Hey, but the entire thing cost me nearly Rm 1k, still... England Optical is such a rip off, with all their "your power is too high, lenses have to import" crap, made me wait a week in blindness somemore! Hmph!

It's been loyal to me for the past 2 years, serving me with
R: myopia -6.75, astigmatism -0.75
L: myopia -6.75, astigmatism -0.25

Probably its the increasingly intense studying that I've been doing in recent years that increased my power a current all-time high of,
R: myopia -7.50, astigmatism -0.25
L: myopia -7.25, astigmatism -0.25

Noticed that my shortsightedness has increased, but my astigmatism didn't? In fact, if you had paid any attention to the numbers in purple, you would've noticed a DECREASE in my astigmatism! By 0.50! Is this a miracle or what? Whoopee...

Note:
Normal soft contact lenses only serve you by degrees of shortsightedness. That's means if you want your contacts lenses to serve both the myopia and the astigmatism, be prepared to fork out at least twice the amount of money.

That means, with reduced astigmatism, I should encounter less problems with my pair of Normal Soft Contact Lenses, as long as I obtain the correct prescription *maniacal laugh*

That aside, I need a new pair of glasses, so long my loyal old armani. Hello, new specs!

In my dear Fluffy's car, hugging a pillow that stinks like Fluffy XD
GA Blue half-rimmed frame + multi-coated plastic lenses = Rm199
High Index Technology 3.67 = Rm 250

(High index is freaking expensive, I am mad to pay rm250 just for thinner and lighter lenses)
Total Bill = Rm 449
10% discount = Rm 44.90
(because my dad bought himself Xerox Sunglasses, he looks like Louise Koo now)
Grand Total = Rm 404.10

All this from Focus Point, One Utama. Screw England Optical, I hope no one buys from you again.

So how do I look?

End of compharm intern & HP

FYI, I've just quit my internship due to bad weather, literally. Of late, I've been feeling under the weather, must be due to the annoyingly frequent downpours that soak me all the way down to my underwear everyday. Gotta get from my workplace to the car you see. With 2 days left, and a bad case of cough and flu in the morning, might as well quit it, or every customer I service will be coming back the next day for Panadol Cold & Flu. Although I must say, it's good business *sniggers*

In the meantime I shall kick back and relax with some warm lemon honey, with my copy of ....

Taa-Daa~~!

This should do me some good. Snuggling under my covers reading my pirated copy of Harry Potter. Can't wait to see who dies this time. Rowling seems to be having so much fun killing her characters at will, and the Order is holding Lord Voldemort responsible for their misery. Can't they see the real evil is none other than Rowling? Wakakaka....

Book Review and New Glasses post follows...

Kids these days

*Big Big Sigh*

As a firm believer in good old fashioned values, I'm sad to say that it's facing extinction. To this day, approximately 18.5 years, there was never a moment in which these values have failed me. It is really a shame that society have come to this state, when humans have evolved into such selfish and ignorant creatures.

I pity the future of society.

Kid these days are born into a world of luxury, where their parents are numbskulls who happened to earn big moolah. Before you shout at me, claiming that numbskulls do not earn big money, please allow me to express myself further. These numbskulls pamper their kids more than Paris Hilton pampers her royal Pooch, showering them with endless supply of cash, shielding them from responsibility. The end result would be mindless brats who think they are hell of a great, and worse still, recruiting and brainwashing innocents to become the bimbobots that they are.

Someone worth admiring, is the one who's able to depend minimally, and be as independent as possible. I find the ones who are truly great, can survive the best when everyone is forced to start from scratch.

The younger generation that I observe now, is simply pathetic. Never have I thought that those bimbos in American TV who walk down hallways with a "I'm beautiful, I'm rich and I'm popular" air, can exist in Malaysia. Okay, I know I'm plain naive. But I've never met anyone who's like that, seriously, up until recently. Will someone tell me why these people overestimate the power of being pretty/rich/popular?

Being pretty is an advantage, sure. It makes everything a whole lot easier, but it just ain't fair. And the guys are certainly not helping. Every girl deserves to be treated equally, given that the other circumstances are constants, without discrimination. Well, unless she has some serious attitude problem. If admiration is what you want to exploit from your beauty, then it's what you'll never get. When your beauty is rivalled, or when people get tired and bored of you, the consequences will likely be too severe to bear.

Some lucky, albeit undeserving souls are born into a life of luxury. Where everything is being done and prepared, where life is to be purely enjoyed. That's where it is wrong. These poor clueless kids walk around throwing bank notes everywhere they go, and they don't seem to be bothered by it. This idiotic clan of creatures spoiled the beautiful game of Truth or Dare. Daring another idiot to do some insane act for money, like say, kiss my smelly toes. Not a meal, not Rm1 nor 2, but up to 2 digits. That's one bet, from High School Kids. Did you know that the boyfriends also have to bribe their girlfriends with luxuries just so she'll stay back with him? If you ask me, I would say one is using the other to boost her popularity, and making use of the other guy. I also happen to know that these are done on a regular basis. I have nothing against rich people, it's just that a portion (I didn't say all) of them thinks they are way ahead of others, that just because they have the money, they get to treat everyone around like a dog who's hungry for doggie treats. How I wish I can throw their own money right in their faces. That'll show them that their money, I mean, their parent's money don't run my life.

Popularity, bah. Totally overrated. If you're an artiste, sure, that translates into *KaChinG* lotsa moolah in endorsements and sales. To a real common individual, however, what is the value of popularity. It barely has any significance. So you walk around with Roxy or Billabong, or even Armani and Chanel, PRICEY, hmmm... For the same amount of money, I can get a wardrobe full of clothes of various styles. Brands are just names that that stupid people who are brainless enough to fall for their marketing gimmicks. Talk about spending smart. People know who you are, so what? I bet they also know how big your breast looks because 90% of it is made of stuffed tissue rolls. Everyone also know how stupid you are chasing after all the above stated qualities that are useless in your life.

Ugh, I can't imagine how "pretty" society's gonna be in future. People that I have met all my life are nowhere near being this disgraceful. And I'm glad that they are practical and sensible. Honestly guys, you guys rock. All I can say is, you've been warned. Brace yourself as society self destructs.

RaiRai and HamHam on podium, can I be any happier?

With this win, Kimi is back as a title contender.

I have a confession. I'm an addict. For the past week, I've been hiding in my room, secretly indulging in the one thing that is able to take my mind entirely off reality...

HOUSE M.D.
*click to Fox TV's main page for this series*

Starring Hugh Laurie (middle), with
Trio on the left: Omar Epps, Jenniffer Morrison, Jesse Spencer
Duo on the right: Lisa Edelstein, Robert Sean Leonard

All semester, I've been observing SayYuen and Lynnette, furiously chasing down House MD episodes. Now I know that they are not over reacting. In fact, they're under-reacting, I think. Now that I'm finally done with Season, I think I'm diagnosed with House MD Withdrawal Syndrome. While the download speed at home is excruciatingly slow, I'm terribly desperate for Season 2 to finish downloading. As of now, it's barely 13 % done. Argh!

Meanwhile, I noticed that, despite the popularity of this highly successful series, there are some innnocent souls out there that has yet to be exposed to this madness. Hence, I shall do them the honour by spreading my beloved addiction, and thus destroying their life outside. Muahahaha....

So it's basically a medical series, with the main character being Dr. Gregory House, portrayed by Hugh Laurie as an eccentric genius who's a grouchy, aging Limpy. He heads the Department of Diagnostic Medicine, at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, which is run by the cleavage generous Dr. Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). House has 3 over qualified specialists at his disposal, namely, Dr.Foreman (Epps), Dr.Cameron (Morrison), and Dr.Chase (Spencer). Dr.Wilson (Leonard) starts off being the only person who's rather House resistant. I've re-watched the season enough to know all these by the back of my hand.

What I enjoy most about the series is probably watching House's lunacy, how he made people's lives miserable, and his smart sarcasm. Besides that, I find it very amusing that one person can die so many times, and yet not die in the end. I love watching Evil in action, except that, at the same time, he's also a saint. Oh, the irony!

You should watch, if you:

-like cleavage (Dr.Cuddy is the main cleavage sponsor)
-like sexy accents (Dr. Chase speak too much, but what the heck, he sounds great)
-like pretty girls (Dr.Cameron is lovely XD)
-like horny old women (oops, that a spoiler)
-like sarcasm
-like watching people die several times (how often do we get to see that?)
-like watching House turn the hospital into living hell
-hate nuns (spoiler too)

You should not watch, if you:

-are too dumb to understand basic medical terms, and American English
-can't stand shows with no steamy sex scenes for you to jerk off to
-hate shows that make you think (sorry, I'm attracted to thinking shows like The Prestige)
-prefer watching brainless shows with cutesy girls who can't act (ahem, Rainie Yang, ahem) prancing around in a mini skirt with a lame storyline.
-can cry every time you see someone die, even on-screen (your eyes will be flaccid in no time)

Hugh Laurie, my Idol.
I dig eccentricity, BIG time.

P/s: Please do let me know if anyone out there has HOUSE MD Season 2 and Season 3, preferably with subs. Thanks, from my desperate heart.

Lives not worth saving

A day to all the members of the Pharmacy Department in Sg.Buloh Hospital, is not just anyone's everyday.

By the way, I made this

While being in a government hospital is not exactly routine for me, there were definitely alot of scenarios, that stirred up a whirlpool of feelings inside me...

Dispensing to a patient requires more than skill and patience.
Because patients aren't always patient.

Following a common belief, people tend to think that government servants are just lazy people who couldn't care less about their jobs, whose only explaination for existence is by the government's blind generosity. I say, never judge anything, until you have personally experienced it. Throughout my internship, I have met a wide spectrum of people, of various race and backgrounds. In contrast to popular thinking, race is not measure of personality, mindset, nor attitude. I was remarkably impressed by the cooperation and spirit that spanned across physical attributes. Many may not know what really happens behind those doors but I do. In there, there are people who has dedicated their time and energy to provide the needy with medication and service, despite meagre income. They could've joined the public sector for better pay, take a few more days off, throw in a couple of odd pills and so on. I wished people would appreciate that they care enough to implement procedures and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy, and paid attention to all the little details that you never thought mattered. They use a separate spoon for HIV medications, double check your prescriptions, count the exact number of pills you have to take to prevent overdose, remind you about the side effects and dangers of your medication and so forth. Ever wondered what could happen should they have not bothered to do these?

With Yoges, one of my colleagues at the OutPatient Pharmacy Department.
Here, I'd like to wish her all the best for the unborn twins!

Besides, I think the government is really bloody generous. Giving away free medications, and treaments, even if its not entirely free, the price is a mere 0.01% of what you would have to pay for such services and products in the private sector. Oh sure, every now and then when your star's not in alignment, you meet the occasional rotten apple, or less-than-5-star service, but I think people should be sensible enough to not whine about it. When staff is lacking, supply is short, or the staff not so smiley, it's really not that big a deal. What's the use cursing and complaining about it, when everyone's on all fours already working on the same thing . Especially when the staff is bound by certain rules and regulations. Just because you think the rule is irrelevant, doesn't mean they should break it for your selfish sake and risk their jobs. It's not gonna make a god damn difference. Sometimes, Malaysians have to be a tad more understanding, and much less stubborn.

Kak Dina, and Kak Hana... very patient mentors.

Just the other day we had this insane HIV patient, who was being all "I'm right, and you're all wrong" kind of thing. He said that he couldn't collect his medication refills because he has a life out there, and that we're trying to kill him. That fucker is just plain dumb. The reason that he still has a life is because he has his medications. In addition, we have much more important things to do than to kill him. Who does he think he is? Shouting at my poor colleagues who were so very patient and reasonable with him. Asshole. He knows he has to rely on punctual and continuous medication intake to survive, and the hospital was so kind to provide him free medications that's worth an insane amount of money for life. He's responsible for his life, yet he failed himself. To make things worse, he's got all mad and angry with my colleagues. That's gonna kill alot more cells, and he's only accelerating his own death. A human which has lost his survival instincts, and denying help, is an idiot. I don't even know why they're still trying to help him. He's so unbelievably stupid, it explains how he got HIV in the first place. I would rather save the time, energy and medication for someone who at least appreciates it. Keeping him alive is a waste of resources.

Chow, from whom I swindled several meals from.
Can you believe he's 26?

On the other hand, there were patients that impressed me. I see some who were grateful for the service, and admired our knowledge. They would thank you, shake your hand, and even ask for your name with utmost sincerity. These people are the ones that makes everything worthwhile. However, the most inspiring patients, are drug addicts, no kidding. It takes alot of guts and bravery for these people to step up, confessing being an addict, but still willing to be helped to a fresh new start. These people may have threaded the wrong path once upon a time, but I guess what matters most now is that they intend to change. The programme gently weans them off dangerous drugs by substituting it with a daily dose of Methadone as a less harmful alternative. It also includes private counselling sessions to help them go through this critical stage of life, and rebuild the right self esteem. What they're about to see, is a bright new future, free from being a slave to drugs. I participated in one session, whereby I went through the preparation of methadone, as well as the counselling and feeding session. Amazingly, these people were courteous, polite, not at all the monster that we had imagined them to be. The extent of confession and very frank conversations were startling. When you witness how much they are trying to cooperate and communicate in spite of poor education, and gratitude to your efforts, you would be touched by their hope to recover from this blunder. This is what I call inspiring. Instead, I was disgusted but a certain "professional", who judged them solely by their past before getting to know them. It was a major disappointment to see one that's so shallow minded, a shame to our profession really. Maybe there are people too stuck up with their own success and achievements to realise that everyone has an equal chance of catching up at any point of their lives, should they wish to.

Sharon, our local counsellor, and fellow HockChew *grins*

Kak Fiza aka Miss Blue, whom I caught on an odd day, the only day that she's not wearing blue.

2 weeks may be short, but hopefully the bonds I've just created will last longer. The staff were so very accomodating, friendly and patient. I'm just at a lost for words to describe them more. I couldn't have asked for better colleagues, honestly. They took me in as one of them, and taught me all week. Even at times when I needed advice, they were there for me, readily sharing their experiences. I love them so so much for making my internship so enjoyable and tolerable. In the end, I can only say thank you, althought it's nothing compared to all that they've done for me. I wish there was more that I could do. But how?

Post delay

Just in case you're wondering, I did realise the sudden flow of new blog entries, after a long post-draught. I regret to say there will be a short post-draught again. It's only for one more week. After which I'll blog again, I promise *sweet puppy eyes*

I have been interning (does such a word exist? too lazy to check) for Hospital Sungai Buloh for the past week, and will be for the next week to come as well. The hours are 8am-5pm. It's bloody crazy okay? Even the classes in Uni are not held at such an ungodly hour. Crazy. And because I'm just an intern, I don't have to take turns working till 6pm, as well as on weekends. In addition to that, I just found out that as a "Professional", we are not paid double on weekends or public holidays, and for OTs too. This sucks. On the other hand, the people there are absolutely stellar! Brilliant and lovely people. They're the only reason that makes this internship worth going through.

So I'm off to another gruelling week in the hospital. The good news is, the Bird Flu suspects have been declared negative to testing. Thank goodness okay? Or else, that will be the end of more chicken lives. Pray that less people get sick, you'd be surprised just how many sick people there are out there. 600 tablets? (no kidding) I'd die just swallowing, even if I don't die of the disease. Bless us all.

Food & Tea Restaurant

On Saturday and Sunday, I ate at this new restaurant at Jusco Metro Prima by the name of Food & Tea. Yes, I went ate there on two consecutive days. Yes again, I know the name of the restaurant is boring with a capital B. What happened to creativity and being catchy? At least the mandarin name is acceptable, Huan Xi Di literally translates to Land of Joy.

If it weren't for the appearance of the restaurant, and their attractive banners, I wouldn't have walked in, in the first place. Even the name sounds so hastily chosen, surely you'd expect the same attitude towards the preparation of your food?

Mother Nature Mocktail, Rm 5.20
Sweet Sour Crabmeat sauce with Mantou, Rm 3.30
Cream of Mushroom "Brulee" Style, Rm 6.30

Apparently not. This my dears, is how they serve their mushroom soup. The soup alone is nothing to shout about, too starchy for my taste. However, you can expect an abundance of mushrooms in it, for the mushroom lover, moi. This is what sets it apart. It's served in a coconut shaped bread, freshly baked to perfection. Crunchy and the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. When eaten together with the soup, ahh, it complements one another. Both the soup and the bread has to be eaten simultaneously to optimise your mushroom soup experience. Not a bad combination. But beware though, I found my peel-the-bread-from-the-top efforts futile. A little tug, and I felt my little bread bowl was gonna rip up and spill. In the end, we just bit it directly with our teeth, although you risk getting bewildered stares, and looking kinda stupid, it's much more effective at that.

An impressive menu with large photos, and big fonts! Why can't all restaurants illustrate their food? Big fonts are good too, especially for the semi-blinds like me. I just think it was awfully considerate of them to throw in a detailed description about the dish too. There were many choices, including bread, rice, noodles, porridge, HK style, Shanghai style, Tongsui, dessert, and a huge variety of drinks. By the way, I did order this. The picture of the real thing is somewhere down there.

Cheese Baked Rice, Rm 11.90 (if I'm not mistaken)
Haha, I caught my mom with her mouth full =P She said it was ok, except that it was a wee bit too filling.

Cheese Baked Seafood Noodles, Honey Red Tea
The tea was refreshing and it came in a big glassful. No refills needed =)
Cheesy is probably the best word to describe the dish.

Smoked Ham Focaccia, Rm 4.80
Oh, I ordered this, and it's cheesy, cheesy, cheesy! There's a thin layer of crunchy dough underneath, with a layer of streaky bacon I think, topped with loads and loads of cheese!
(and some weird mouldy-green stuff, but no matter, doesn't make a difference) Cheesy-licious!

Butter Chicken Rice
It's not too bad! I like its simplicity, and the fact that the chicken is so crunchy. Again, the gravy tastes odd on its own, but it does complement the chicken. The only thing to improve on is perhaps more veggie. If all Malaysians eat like this, we'd all be constipated.

Apple Green Tea Rm 3.80
XO Fried Rice with Chicken Rm 7.80
As you can see, I took this photo when Bernard was halfway through his rice. I would say the portion is just right for boys on puberty, even post-puberty ones, teeheehee. He seemed pretty happy about the food, and thinks we should go back there again. I forgot to add, that they serve FAST, although the dishes may seem a little fancy. We were seated after a 10 minutes wait, and all the food came like, around 15 minutes after ordering. That's 6 items for 2 persons. They make Broga Pan Mee look like a failure. Not too bad, within 40 minutes, we were done and just in time for our movie ^^

Coke & Lemon, Honey Peach Green Tea alongside Honey Red Tea.
Sunshine and Sweet Romance Mocktails with black straws.
The other drinks that we ordered. If you look carefully, you can also see the Fah Sang Wu, or Peanut Broth in the background. I wasn't kidding about the variety.

All in all, I would say this place is worth checking out, if you're just plain bored with all the other food. Check it out, First Floor, Jusco Metro Prima, Kepong. There's also a brand new TGV there too on the top floor, if you're tired of queues and cinemas running out of tickets.

Wai Ken's Birthday!

Today we celebrate...
WaiKen's 20th birthday.

Blackforest cake from Ms.READ's Delicious cafe @ One Utama.
Don't you underestimate this lil piece of thingy, apparently it tastes way good!
Happy birthday buddy... You're the lamest, most BOA-obsessed, most fitness conscious, Manchester United fan to me.
The above was said in full fondness.

We love you, we really do.
L-R: Carolyn, Sheryl, Jessy, Eli, Me, and who else in the middle?

I hope you find your prezzie useful. When I have the money I get you a ticket to a MU game ya.

Savoury "Problematic Chicken" aka Ayam Masala.
Oh gosh, that masala sent me straight to heaven okay?
And thanks for the dinner AND supper that night at Steven's Corner. Though it's just simple mamak food, I reckon it's 5-star mamak food, and we had such splendid time together. Of course we did, we ate up a bill of >Rm 200, but they were nice to give you a discount, hahaha. Can you imagine? Just the 11 of us, and cheap mamak food, came up to such a crazy sum. So you all should think twice whether to treat us who has a forever-famished appettite.
Full account on WaiKen's birthday on his blog.

After that 30+ drinks or so, (I think we made Steven's Corner run out of cups), we headed down to Asia Cafe, Subang Jaya for the UEFA Champions League Final!
AC Milan vs Liverpool
The place was overcrowded by 2am. Thank goodness we came early, not only did we get parking, we also managed a table and a chair! I think the Subang Jaya Liverpool Fan Club was there or something, the atmosphere building up prior to the match was simply amazing. There were people in team jerseys everywhere, and flags too!

Why are we so many hours ahead of Greece? Damn, we waited till 3am in the morning to watch. Thank you so much dear, for staying up and taking me out for the match, eventhough Arsenal's not playing. I love you!
But alas, AC Milan triumped over Liverpool with a score of 2-1, amidst an eruption of celebration amongst Milan fans in the premise. I was devastated to the max. Boohoo... Ahh, screw it. Better go sleep and get over Liverpool's defeat.

Mothers Day

13th May 2007

Event : Mother's Day 2007
Venue : Elitis Ancala, Valencia.
Time : Lunch time
Company : The rest of Valencia residents

Now if I have to name a single thing that this place has, that my old place in Menjalara doesn't have, it would be the amazing bond of the community here. There's nearly always a reason for celebration in Valencia, just like their slogan, I certainly am experiencing "Time of your life". I'm not doing any free advertising of any kind, but it really is a nice place to live in. They're are still launching new phases, and can I remind you guys, I would be delighted to have you all to come live near me. Lol!

We were sent a glitzy invitation card to another community event. Apparently, you don't have to be a mom to be invited. There was a treasure hunt session, but we were too busy snoring away to attend that, teeheehee... But with food on the itenary, there's absolutely no reason why I should miss that! We were up and ready by Lunch time!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a huge white-and-lilac tent. Nearly circus-like, but less colourful. We were ushered in, in no time. Registration thus follows, along with souvenirs. I'm extremely satisfied with the huge piece of heart shaped Belgium chocolate =)

Oh I just love signing huge boards, it makes me feel like a star!
"Queen of Hearts" I like that theme, very original.

Fantastic decoration, very impressive, for a tent. This is definitely the kind of treatment moms would love. Flowers, hearts, food, balloons, textiles blending in tasteful harmony.

A sumptious food spread that's bound to excite anyone's tastebuds. Well, mine was stimulated badly, can you see those candy??? Tongue's tingling , saliva glands activated...

Beautiful table decoration comprising of ferns, berries, tea leaves, eustomas, roses and more.
I dare not imagine how much it cost to put one of these on every table.

Daddy enjoying his "morning" coffee...

True to their theme, they're totally commited to treating royalties here.
Note: Mom overdose ahead. Proceed with caution.

My mom, typically simple and fuss free, nervous about the makeover, with her lovely make up artist in white, and me on the camera (obviously).

Mom getting her locks primped up by another lady.

"I'm a gorgeous queen and am not afraid to flaunt it "
*smirks*

"Now, now, we don't wanna mess up my professionally done hair"

"I think I'll give a him a Moma Lisa"

What better way to relax other than to be massaged to your satisfaction.

"I'm the Queen, massage me."

"No baby, I'm off duty, go find daddy."

And SuetMun pretended to be a mom get a free massage too.

The most popular attraction, which queue lasted for an hour.

A golden Mothers Day moment for ya. But Ma, you weren't supposed to move when they're drawing.

A near complete caricature. Oddly, it reminds me of the sign on toilet doors with the word "Ladies" underneath.

Look who was there too! JingHui, JingEr, my students cum neighbours!
(in Buck-toothed glory)

Daddy was obviously happy to meet the men, who were abandoned by their women, who were busy being pampered, who also left the children under their care.

There was an emcee at the event, mainly to host kiddy competitions to keep them off their moms. And she goes, Valenciaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... to victory.
I have no idea why the cameraman is there, but I guess his job is to attract the kids. You have no idea, kids these days are professional camwhores! Tsk, tsk, tsk...

Yo dude, that's my girl over there! She got her big lungs from me! *smug*

There's clowns too! I especially like this one, he's naughty and cheeky, not to mention cute too!
I think my bro was scolding me when I took the shot, haha.

I'm better, I managed 2 clowns, hehehe... Honestly, I had no idea, the one on stilts was behind me when we were taking the picture, hehe...

On our way out (we used an exit different from the entrance) we saw a carousel! I LOVE merry-go-rounds!

You don't have to tell me. I know we look alike. Except that I look older with those eyebags.
Ugh, I rushed back straight after my last paper for Mothers Day. Seems that the weariness has yet to wear off =(

After celebrating with my Mom in Valencia, we headed to meet my mom's mom, Granma!
Oh, oh, I wrapped that bouquet. Since granma's not fond of splurging on "useless overpriced flowers", mom presented her with her best garden blooms!
