car accident 2

This time I'm breaking my promise. No, National Pharmacy Sports Carnival post. Not as of now. And for a good reason too.

Take a look.

Front view.

Upper right angle view.

Shattered headlights, bonnet destroyed.

Full frontal view.
The number plate escaped unscathed, just to identify whose car is it.

Yes, Bernard and I survived this awful accident. We were heading back to Subang Jaya from Bangsar, using the Federal Highway. At 11:30 pm, Bernard put down his cellphone, just to hit the emergency break, before running head first into a Toyota Innova. And I looked up just to see the car moving towards the unfortunate Toyota in slow motion. I braced myself, partly putting my arms forward to prevent head from hitting the windscreen.

WHAM!

It was fast. It was a strong collision, loud. I felt a pain around my pelvis. I thought I was hurt. I looked down to see the seatbelt binding me securely to the seat. The inertia to dive forward from Newton's 1st Law was huge, hence the sharp pain I felt when Newton's 3rd Law of equal force acted on the seatbelt to hold me back. To say I was "Relieved" is an understatement. Without the seatbelt, a light weighted me would've been thrown through the windshield easily, and then head injuries wouldn't then be my only concern. For a moment I was so shocked i didn't say anything. A glanced at Bernard, he was ok, save by the seatbelt too. The front view however was awful. Half of the windscreen was obscured by the bonnet which folded into half. Damage to the car looks very bad, thank goodness we were ok.

The Toyota Innova is a tough car, despite suffering severe damage to Bernard's soft metalled Proton Wira, the Toyota merely suffered a small dent on its bumper. Proton Wira, being the shorter car, suffered on the engine, headlights and the bonnet; the lower part of the car, number plate and bumper, was spared of the torture, thanks to the tall Toyota. The impact was lessened by the emergency brake that was applied at the moment, and the shock mostly absorbed by the soft metal in the Wira that gave way on collision, increasing impact time, reducing impact force. Judging by the extent of bending observed, had the force been any larger, the windscreen would've kissed the ass of the Toyota. And God knows what could've happened.

View from the driver seat. Notice how bent the bonnet was.

Shocked as we were, we started to realise what a nasty situation was in. Guna, the kind owner of the Toyota was a perfect gentleman about it. Bless him. Within 10 minutes, there were more than half a dozen of strangers who stopped by the road, coming towards us. These are vultures who feed on your unfortunate event, chen4 huo3 da3 jie2 kind of people. They are spies, connected by walkie talkies, and working for towing services. No matter how convincing and persuasive they were, Bernard did the right thing by not giving in to their crap. All they want to do is rip us off, it's a lucrative business, this one. They have no mercy, wanting to take advantage of our distressful situation to make a hell lot of money, and yet not do a good job about it. The right thing he did was to call the insurance helpline, to engage in their accredited panel of towing services and garages. Or else, the insurance claim would've been messy. And I thank Aunt Lilian and Uncle Henry for teaching us all these, also for coming to our rescue so late at night.

After a police report, summon slip and a depressing ride home, there's still more consequences to come. Stuff like an appeal letter to reduce the summon, insurance procedures, and damage assessment with the vehicle. And the worse one? Having to live with the guilt, the cost of repair, and not having a car for 2-3 weeks.

I thank God for not letting me get hurt. Someone point me to the nearest temple/ church. Promise I'll do more good deeds to get more good karma. Fluffy dear you also have to accumulate good karma, cut down on the naughty stuff ya.

I beg everyone who's reading this, please do not talk on the phone while driving. I'm serious. Don't say,

"Nah, it won't happen to me"
"I'm been driving since I was 1 years old"
"I'm the best driver around"
"I'm the next Michael Schumacher"

because, no matter who or how, there's always a risk when you're on the road. Please be careful on the road. I wouldn't want anyone else to experience this kind of trauma. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Especially if you have bad karma.

Malacca Day Trip

Alright, this is quite some time ago, sometime at the beginning of our direly anticipated CNY holidays. So frustrated with campus food, this time we were motivated to venture off to a faraway land, in search of authentic Malaysian food. It means somewhere not in KL, KL's Malaysian food is ciplak one. Coloured and flavoured artificially, seasoned with Aji, and packed full of chemicals and preservatives. Eat too much can die one.

First stop: Seremban Beef Noodles!
I thought it tasted odd, don't fancy it much. There's this weird smell that's too strong for my liking. Beef tastes better as steak. How did they make such a heavenly thing taste so unholy? Cows everywhere should stand up and protest! It's a violation of beef usage!
Charges about Rm6/bowl if I'm not mistaken. Daylight robbery I say.

Andrew seems to like it though. Bernard loves it too. Ahh, men. They just don't have tastebuds as sensitive as women's. They'll shove anything edible into their mouths, as long as their tummy is yearning for food.

Chicken Rice Balls!
They have my vote for Best Malaccan Food! Hands down. Whoever starts to argue with me, you're not getting a piece of my future cakes/cookies.

The magnificent Jonker Street. As vintage and classic as I had recalled back when I first landed in Malacca years ago. Current preservation efforts are so good, I felt like I was stepping backwards into the time stream. This is a piece of history, that will last longer than Bill Gates' fortune.

How can a post be complete with a poser picture of me. If Fluffy wants to put hot chicks on his blog, so can I! NAH! A big ass aimless picture of myself.

Our tour guide of the day, Mr. 31 aka Jay Chow aka See Chew. Genuinely Malaccan, yet atypically Malaccan. According to my observations, Malaccan are typically rough on the edges, live overweight seafood (quite la la), and love the pimp their cars into ridiculously shaped, and painfully fluorescent piece of metal. This one, well, is one of the most polite, soft spoken and cool person I've ever met, the aura around him is ala Jay Chow.

Now this is a really cool shop, it has all these really ancient antiques that look as if they've been fished out of the Straits of Malacca. I couldn't help but be amazed and intrigued by such authenticity.

Andrew too busy enjoying his ais kacang which was covered, not drizzled, with a generous portion of THICK, CONCENTRATED, GOOEY, DIABETICALLY SWEET gula melaka. Look at him, so happy to meet gula melaka in Melaka.

I swear this shot of him makes him look so much thinner. Reason? Good photographer. *smug*
They paid him to advertise the menu. Ahem.

I wasn't kidding about the gula melaka. Not suitable for the diabetic, hypertensive, and obese. Unless there's a first aid team on standby.

Weird thing I found on the wall.
Do you know him?
Apparently he's an "impostor", a "fraund" and a "swindler"!
For those who have inside information / sufferer, please contact,
012-2244999, 06-2851999, 06-2824704.

It gave me such a good laugh, I decided to help the poor fella who went through such great lengths, drawing a portrait that looks like every other middle aged chinese man, pasting it on pillars, just to find one person. Well, I shall give him credit for not relying solely on cops. Apparently, they're too busy fining policewomen who dates younger men, who wears tight jeans while off duty, and those who dyed their hair. Why burden the police with a common swindler right?

My name is not Bill, so that mean I can stick on the wall.
p/s: Fluffy made me pose like that.

In one the Malacca's latest mall.
Actually I was looking around to see if anyone would notice if I put my feet into the pond for a free session of fish spa therapy. Teeheehee.
Just kidding.

Stupid piece of staircase. Whoever designed it was a moron. There's a higher chance of a normal human tripping over the stairs, than a handicap on a wheelchair not being able to find a way into the mall. Plus, how can they expect the wheelchair to turn at such an acute angle. Absolutely ridiculous!

Andrew and his nose.

The day didn't end right there. Nope, there was a long, looooong afternoon and evening to follow, which wasn't very nice to blog truthfully about. Here's a simplified version. Determined not to revisit the boring historical sites in Malacca, (honestly, it's boring after so many times), we struggled to find entertainment, with disappointingly futile efforts. Other than food, which didn't take up much time, we ran out of things to do. On a brighter note, I was fortunate enough to meet Nicole, (some will know her as KennySia's pageant / travelling friend) who turned out to be more beautiful than her pictures, and was totally sweet and nice. So support her ya? Other than her, I also met some typical Malaccans. More stories on Fluffy's blog. The one day trip to Malacca was ended with a chorus of WE HATE MALACCA, expressed with confidence in unison!

Next post: National Pharmacy Sports Carnival!
(once I type this, I know there's no turning back. It's a way of forcing my future procrastinator self to write about it.)

Happy CNY

Gender discrimination nearly always gets me carried away. I apologize for being so rude, posting something miserable on CNY. Golly it's my last CNY in Malaysia before I fly off to a foreign land where CNY is just another working day and ang pows cease to exist.

Gong Xi Fa Chai
A big ass picture of a China-girl wannabe, dressed in red for the season. So nerdy okay? I can't believe I can look this nerdy. No choice, my fringe is annoyingly long, and salon prices skyrocket at this season.

Taught my Aunt Gaby how to camwhore with her phone at our Reunion Dinner. I'm really such a bad influence. Spreading my ajaran sesat everywhere =P

"Be home for reunion dinner, if you can"
That Petronas advertisement on Astro, look at this, that's my primary school in that advert! LM stands for Lai Meng. And I'd recognise that playground and school badge anywhere. I never knew my primary school is so photogenic, felt so touching, watching it on TV. All the memories just can rushing back *sob sob*

A beautiful empty road on the first day of CNY. Don't you just love KL on CNY. Haha, non-KL locals, go home, and leave me with my beautiful quiet KL!

And lastly at my grandparents place, The Historical Tap!
This is where I put myself out, when my dress caught fire on a miserable Mid-Autumn's Festival.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

Because I'm a Girl

Indulging in booze, Gambling exciting card games, strutting out in crisp new clothes, gossiping with relatives, and revealing that inner glutton devouring culinary masterpieces from housewives who enjoys that grand annual show cook off...etc.

That's what everyone looks forward to every single year. Except that this year I have something miserable to deal with. No, it's not the fact that my report is due when the holidays end. Something worse.

"You know you really shouldn't trouble yourself going out to work. Go graduate and get married to a well to do man, then be a good wife.", my grandfather said in Cantonese. In response to when I told him I'll be leaving in June for my Summer Placement Program with Boots the Chemist.

WHAT KIND OF F**KING RESPONSE IS THAT?!!! From a grandfather? Well I guess now everyone knows I'm not that close to my grandfather. I respect him and all, see him on festive seasons, I did all there was to do as a filial granddaughter. But we're not that close, like he raised me as a kid kind of thing. Don't ask why, it's a complicated family story.

Right. He's not entirely old fashioned you see, he still drives around in an auto car, uses a colour screen phone with camera and stuff. I totally understand that he said it for my own good. At least it's good, to him. But what kind of good will it do to me? Relying on men for the rest of my life? OVER MY DEAD BODY! Good, die already don't have to be a common housewife. I'm pretty sure my future hubby (if I ever get one, that is) will gladly appreciate a spouse who doesn't have to rely on him for marketing money, bills settlement and other that itsy bitsy stuff. But of course, if I get one, I will not let him get away without paying for any part of my life, say, the my credit card bill? And in that bill, there will be petrol, shopping, dining, spa, etc. Weh heh heh heh heh... I mean, even if I wanted to get married to a rich man just like that, he wouldn't want someone who will just milk him dry right? If he wants one, then he's very dumb, unless the woman he wants is Jessica Alba. Anyway, I'd hate to beg someone to give me what I want.

We're living in the 21st century and I cannot believe that my grandfather actually thought like that. But I'm not going to heed his advice this time. Because I don't believe that his experience as a China man is going to be of any help this time. I want to be proud being a woman who can provide for herself, someone who can survive independently. After all, men don't have a good track record for being dependable and generous. *shrugs* To put it simply, I found a job in the UK before graduation at the age of 19. What's not to like about that? Why is he upset about it and not proud of me? When I turn into a common outdated housewife who only thinks about the price of cucumbers and the number of dust balls sitting on the fan, is that when he will be proud of me? So does that mean the purpose of my birth is to suck my parents money dry then suck my husband's money dry, reproduce some offspring to carry the family name and then die? Ridiculous! If I'm ever going to have kids, it will never be for the sole reason of carrying the family name. I thinking of joint surnames, like the Jolie-Pitts, sounds nice *dreamy look*

I just don't know how to respond. No matter how I try to make him understand with all due respect, he doesn't seem to be changing his mind. Guess the stubborn genes really exist after all. *GASP* Does that mean that one day I'll be a stubborn old fashioned woman that says hurtful stuff to hurt her grandchildren? Yucks *slaps the gene out of my chromosome*

Lyrics for Sweeney Todd

Oh no, I can't stop thinking about Sweeney Todd. I have just watched it for a second time, and I'm badly hooked to its soundtrack. Thus I have decided to vent my obsession with this musical by writing out the lyrics that are already engraved in my sub cranium.

When it comes to music, I'm a Lyrics-kind of person. Of course, I couldn't help but notice how beautifully connected the words are in this musical. I like to think of each song as an individual world, crafted by its words, the mood carried by the sound orchestra. They make me sink into a virtual reality where only the music and the singer's voice exists, with me riding the flow of the musics. When it ends, I will realize that I'm back in my room again. This is how music should be enjoyed. To top it off, Johnny Depp's voice is so romantic, Pretty Women melts me like butter every time, without fail. I wish I could be his butter, because then I can melt on his lips XD *dreamy look*

Argh, JOHNNY DEPP I LOVE YOU!!!
(but Fluffy I love you more ok, muax.)

I know some has had difficulty making out the words, especially Severus Snape's (I can never get used to calling him Judge Turpin or Alan Rickman) deep deep voice. So check these out, these are some of my favourite bits from the song, courtesy of me =)

No Place Like London

"There's a hole in the world like a great black pit.

and the vermin of the world inhabit it,
and its morals aren't worth what a pig could spit,
and it goes by the name of London.

At the top of the hole is a privileged few,
making mock of the vermin in the lower zoo.
turning beauty into filth and greed.
I too have sailed the world and seen its wonders,
for the cruelty of men, is as wondrous as Peru.
But there's no place like London! "

"There was another man who saw
that she was beautiful
a pious vulture of the Lord
who with a gesture of his claw
removed the Barber from his place
then there was nothing but to wait
and she would fall, so soft, so young, so lost and oh so beautiful
And the lady sir, did she succumb?
Oh that was many years ago,
I doubt if anyone would know."

A Little Priest

"For once the sound of the world out there
What Mr. Todd, what Mr. Todd what is that sound
There's crunching noises pervading the air
Yes Mr. Todd, yes Mr.Todd, yes all around
It's man devouring man, my dear
and who are we to deny it in here

These are desperate times Mrs. Lovett
Desperate measures are called for

The history of the world my love
save a lot of graves, save a lot of relatives favours
is those below serving those up above
everybody shaves so there should be plenty of flavours
How gratifying for once to know
that those above will serve those down below"

Pretty Women

You see, sir, a man infatuated with love
Her ardent and eager slave.
So fetch the pomade and pumice stone
and lend me a more seductive tone
a sprinkling perhaps of French cologne
but first sir, I think,
a shave.

Pretty women,
fascinating, sipping coffee, dancing

Pretty women, are a wonder,
Pretty women.

Sitting in the window
or standing on the stair,
something in them cheers the air,
Pretty women,
silhouetting,
stay within you,
glancing,

stay forever,
breathing lightly
Pretty women, pretty women

blowing out their candles, or combing out their hair
and then they leave
even when they leave, they stay out there,
even when they leave you and vanish they somehow can still remain there
,
They're there.

Ah, Pretty women,
at their mirror, in their garden,
letter writing, flower picking, weather watching,
how they make, a man sing!
Proof of heaven, as you're living
Pretty women!
Sir! Pretty women!
Yes, Pretty women!
Pretty women!

Sweeney Todd sings the lines in Black.
Anthoney sings the lines in Green.
Mrs.Lovett sings the lines in Blue.
Judge Turpin sings the lines in Pink.

Sweeney Todd

I had a really awful day on Wednesday. The day was spent nursing a diarrhoea in the toilet, bumping into stuff, forgetting things, all except for an exceptional 2 hours worth of a masterpiece. Sweeney Todd! TGV Balakong was definitely not one of the best cinemas around, thankfully the tickets are cheap, only RM6 without student discount! However, the movie made it all worthwhile. It sort of falls under the musical and artsy-fartsy genre, but I can assure you that Johnny Depp *screams* never disappoints!

SYNOPSIS: Johnny Depp and Tim Burton join forces again in a big-screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's award-winning musical thriller "Sweeney Todd." Depp stars in the title role as a man unjustly sent to prison who vows revenge, not only for that cruel punishment, but for the devastating consequences of what happened to his wife and daughter. When he returns to reopen his barber shop, Sweeney Todd becomes the Demon Barber of Fleet Street who "shaved the heads of gentlemen who never thereafter were heard from again." Joining Depp is Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Sweeney's amorous accomplice, who creates diabolical meat pies. The cast also includes Alan Rickman, who portrays the evil Judge Turpin, who sends Sweeney to prison and Timothy Spall as the Judge's wicked associate Beadle Bamford and Sacha Baron Cohen is a rival barber, the flamboyant Signor Adolfo Pirelli.

The above information was extracted from the official website, for link, please click on name.

Boy oh boy can Johnny Depp sing! The sound of his voice was so unique it sends shivers of delight through my body *squeals*The orchestra and the music is excellent, I guarantee you the music will stick in your head long after the movie has finished. Those who has watched Harry Potter, would recognize Bellatrix Lestrange, Severus Snape and Peter Pettigrew as part of the cast! Watch all of them sing! Lol... Imagine Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) singing! I think he has face problem, because he always play an eccentric meanie, a big time disgusting pervert in this one. Oh just watch it because there's Johnny Depp in it, savvy?

It would be a crime if you don't watch it!

Updated: I finally got the time to change the outdated Christmas song to Tamia-Officially Missing You. I hope it's better, because I'm downloading a lot of Tamia songs right now, and the Sweeney Todd soundtrack of course!

Protes

I support The Fuel & Food Price Hike!
(With that said, I will soon have an angry mob chasing after me. Before they kill me, I shall go finish up my lab report so I can be The-Ghost -That-Finished-Her-Report, no "unfinished business" whatsoever.)

*done*

Again! They monkey-ed again! From what I heard this time, at KLCC, Jalan Ampang. Hey people, if you want to waste your time, please be my guest. Just don't stop the rest of us who have urgent errands to run, in your quest to embarrass yourself. I have other more productive things to do. Like shopping in Pavillion, hello? It was going to be my first ever, and Fluffy's too, shopping trip to Pavillion! Thanks for ruining it for me. If you like gathering so much, come gather in front of my house, I assure you that you pleads will be heard. (By me, not that I'm gonna do anything about it). Free Guards surrounding my house, what's not to like?

I came across this article which I found to be very insightful. Although I don't agree 100% of the time, it makes more sense than those foolish people who got charged for standing among a crowd of "more than 3 people without a police permit".

"The Government is doing this in order to ensure that such items are affordable so that people will not be overly burdened financially, and it is spending billions annually to achieve this target. While this is laudable, it is a serious drain on financial resources that could be used for projects that can bring greater economic growth and jobs."

Yes, the subsidies make plenty of our everyday items much more affordable, besides curbing inflation. The part about the funds could've been used for economic growth and job? Well, don't blame it on the subsidies. Blame it on the many times they had to spend large figures to fix the MRR2, and refix the MRR2, or re-refix the MRR2, because someone didn't do a good enough job in the first place or someone didn't make sure that the other someone didn't do a good job. I forgot which, it's confusing. What about the drain in resources caused by undeserving students who got sponsorship to pursue costly education but flunked/ dropped out. Subsidies should not be blamed for the drain in resources, as there are certainly better reasons out there.

"It is just not possible to keep a low inflation regime for too long, since this is just not practical. The cost of production will have to rise and people will have to get used to higher prices."

Now this is true, although subsidies do not account for a great drain in in resources. In time, the world prices WILL increase, the government soon will not be able to keep up with high subsidies. In the long run, subsidies will be a major burden. Malaysians, it's time to GROW UP. The world is facing this. Why should we be any different? This is not the time to be selfish and demanding. Sometimes, I think Malaysians are so pampered they don't appreciate the things which the government actually did for them. With the elections coming, do you think the government would love to announce a price hike right now? If there's a need to, they'll have to do it. At the end of the day, we have to remember that they are consumers too.

"The Government, too, must be prepared to reduce subsidies on fuel, including diesel, gradually so as not to create undue hardship on wage earners. "

That ought to be the right way to do it. If the people can't afford it, they've gotta learn to afford it. Trying working OT for a few extra bucks, instead of wasting time gathering, or paying off police bails, for a start. Be more thrifty with spending instead of splurging on the credit card all the time. Also, be more careful with your everyday goods, and do not practice waste. That's gonna teach some people to appreciate cooking oil more. Besides, the shortage is a perfectly good excuse to consume less oil, people in this region are obese and diabetic anyway.

Oil is going to be more scarse, everyone knows that. And yet they are ignorant about it, thinking it's some grandmother story. As they keep up the demand for more oil, the oil companies will keep digging. So whose fault is it that the oil prices are increasing? All those moves to encourage carpooling, the usage to public transports, and smart cars, have received very little good responses. Don't say you were not warned.

Malaysians are selfish. All they care about, is how everything affects them. What I see, is Malaysians refusing to grow up and accept the fact that Price Hikes are a scary inevitable truth that they will have to face one day. Like a baby refusing to poop in the potty, because pooping in diapers feels so much more comfortable. Well, grow up. They'll just have to get used to it. But then again, they could always fly off to Neverland with Peter Pan and never ever grow up. Oh, I forgot. Peter Pan is not asian, and he doesn't even know that Malaysia exists.

Shopping woes

There we go, the first week of the new semester. It's routine.

I started it by reluctantly dropping a cheque in the Admin building. Gosh, it just gets harder and harder to let it go. I took a second glance at figures, gee, I wonder if I'll be able to earn enough to issue a cheque like this once day. But hey, no pressure ya? *forced laugh*

The new semester promises a lot of work, like practical work. Lotsa Labs... So many hours, so little lunches. Looks like my dream belly will have to wait. There's also dissertation, reports, video conferences, poster presentations, and role playing to do. Role playing is not fun, especially when it accounts for 100% in a module, no kidding. Sigh... This is going to bring my stress levels to an all-time high.

On a lighter note, I haven't been getting into the studying mood. Not yet, not so soon. No way lah, I still want to have fun. The first week alone I spent like zero time studying, without a hint of guilt. Instead, I was indulging in alot of food, some sports, plenty of sleep and computer games! Yay me! At this rate, I'll be fat in no time *optimistic* And I haven't even done my New Year shopping yet! It's ILLEGAL to not have new stuff to wear on New Years Day.

By the way, they should make it illegal for malls that do not stock Real S sizes... I'm starting to think it's a gimmick. These days, they're making the clothes real big, but labeling them small sizes like S or M. Hello? It's not fair to the fat people! Let's say there's 2 shirts, both 20 inches across. Brand Honest labels it as an L, while Brand Gimmick labels it as an M. Then there's also a big fat lady who'd fit perfectly into this shirt. She normally buys an average of L sizes, while religiously worshiping her slimming pills everyday. One day, she stumbles across the Brand Gimmick boutique, and tried on the shirt in size M. It fitted nicely. This poor lady would be tricked into a false sense of security, thinking she slimmed down to an M. The result is the lady buying the "M" sized shirt because she is so happy. Now, she can go tell everyone she's wearing a size M, when actually, she's still a size L. See? It's not fair, making money off people with weak psychology. Oh, they should also take care of the smaller sized people like me.

Speaking of which, hohoho, another story coming...

I had a good shopping day yesterday, with satisfying purchases from Zara and Playboy. I worship these brands. When they say it's S, it's an S, for real, an S that fits me *jumps for joy* And when it comes to having sales, I can actually afford their products =) yeah, I'm very stingy when it comes to shopping. Style is not worth eating bread and veggies for a month. Besides, I prefer to shop smart, muahahaha... But, the problem with these places, namely Zara, the staff is very yong sui. I'm not discriminating them by their looks. Their staff are all pretty and slim, but they not only sulk, they're super duper rude. That makes them very ugly, even if they're wearing an inch thick of makeup. I like being polite to boutique staff, they can be very very helpful, giving good recommendations, helping you out and such. However, the Zara staff I met that day was horrible. Or maybe, they're just horrible to me. Because I'm not carrying a Guess handbag, or wearing Shu Uemura makeup, or whatever-brand fashionable heels. She took a up-to-down kinda of glance, and ignored me at the entrance of the fitting room. So I asked, if I have to take a tag. Then she grabbed those clothes from my hands, tugged them off the hanger, and gave them back. I waited for 5 seconds, nothing. Naturally I assumed that I could walk in. Only to get an angry "Girl! The tag!" Ugh, can't she like, walk over to give it to me instead of shout? Miss would've sounded nicer. If she thinks she's embarrassing me, she's only portraying herself as an ill-mannered staff who doesn't know how to behave. Sheesh! What's her problem? I could've complained. But taking into consideration that Zara gave me very good buys, I shall forget about it. On the other hand, the staff at Playboy were much more courteous. That's what I call high class staff =)

This sums up my shopping woes, heehee... Pictures of my new clothes... in posts after CNY =)

Power Cut

I think it was the night before our Pharmaceutical Technology paper. I bet everyone was cramming, like real hard. So hard even their shit was hard. Actually I don't know about their shit, but mine was. I'm just saying.

Darn, we barely get to enjoy Christmas and New Year's already. Even the countdown's well, a huge turn off. Not even the Raikkonen poster in my room can turn me on.
(Mental note: it's the McLaren uniform and MP4-22 being the turn off, must change poster!)

10, 9, 8... Study MicroBio first, then only do PhysPharm, or maybe BioChem first...
7, 6... Shit lah, don't know if I have time to do UK papers also...
5, 4... Great 3 more seconds to 7-days-to-Dooms-Day =(
3, 2, 1... Happy New Year, my job here is done. Can I go now? I need to study leh...

No kidding.
Just when you think it can't get any worse than this. TNB decides to play a huge joke. POWER CUT. On the day before PharmTech paper. Great, just great.

Now how am I supposed to study?! Not very funny lor. *facing upwards*
(With that said, I hope God is not acting like the God in The Law of Ueki, that psycho Japanese Anime version of God creates stuff like fights to keep Himself entertained, tsk tsk.)

I can't possibly relive the scene where a Chinese scholar from ancient times caught fireflies to provide light, so that he can study. Everyone in this house has a good bottle of insecticide. All the fireflies in our house would've been extinct by now. Candles are out of the question. If I start emo-ing when I get tired of studying, I'll be creating a hearty bonfire with my notes.

And so, we borrowed the car and decided to travel out in search of light. Wah... sounds so dedicated *smug look* Apparently, the affected area was Sunway Semenyih. Where the population is 30% Nottingham students in the midst of exams.

We headed all the way out to KFC, Kajang. It was a pleasant surprise. Not only does KFC, Kajang operates 24 hours (we can study till the wee hours if we like), it has FREE WIFI (Lilian said she could download torrents from there), plug points for your Laptop Lifeline, FOOD & DRINKs just a few steps away.

Other perks that you don't know of,

- Use all you want toilets. For the stingies out there, save money on your water bill at home.
- Adequately air conditioned, for people like me, whose room doesn't come with an a/c.
- No sleeping when studying, people will stare if you sleep in KFC, no?
- Interesting people to stare at when you're bored. See when people stare back, because they noticed your stare, you will look back at your work. Hence, you get a short-lived distractions, which in the end, redirects your eyes, back to your horrible handwritten notes.
- Inspire young kids to not consider tertiary education. Because if they did, they would have to cram like what we did. The thought of it would make them cry.

In the end. I thought it was pretty exciting, having no power, the night before exams. Adrenaline rushing, hehheh, pretty syok. Although, I'm pretty sure everyone else would disagree. My exam week would've been otherwise boring and annoying, thus making me more EMO than ever.

I shall end this with a YouTube video, because, I ran out of ideas to write. Last paper on Thursday, woohoo! After which I will not be EMO. Enjoy this... WHAT IS EMO?

This is dedicated to WaiKen who just spent me Mungga's =)

Plagiarism

The most dulan incident in my Book of Dulanism...

PLAGIARISM!!!

of my Friendster material... of all things *sweat* -.-"

Can you imagine the nerve???!!! I'm so annoyed now, I'm munching on my corn kernels as if they are the words that she publicly displayed on her territory.

Why am I so darn pissed? To start with, I put my heart and soul into everything that I do. The words that I write here, and all the other stuff on Friendster, Facebook or Messenger. They are the essence of the moment that I was in. I try to record every bit of my thought, or inspiration, the best I can, in my own words. It's the way I see it that matters.

Not a word was changed. Not even a noun or an adjective. She even had to nerve to display it so publicly, happily getting away with it as if she owned that piece of intellectual property. This bitch. (I'm not usually vulgar, but I really dislike this attitude this much.) Now let's think about this person as an individual, she's probably a big fat FAKER. The rest of the words on her territory, might be bit and pieces of some other poor unsuspecting writer, or worse, writerS. And the pictures, could be more extensively Photoshopped than XiaXue's. My God, for all you know, perhaps she's even faking that NOSE... and that she actually has hair/moustache above her lips, or a Cushing's Syndrome patient's body... WHOA...... I wonder if she ever thought for a moment that I would find out.

I'm usually rather relaxed about most things. Someone once told me he caught a glimpse of my answers during exams, while sitting next to me. I wasn't pissed, not even one incy-wincy bit. He had the guts to tell me that he saw, that's bravery to me, and honesty too. Partly also because I wasn't careful with my answer sheet, so it's my fault, I can't possibly blame him for that. Her? She thinks she can get away with it in her pretty world.

My inspiration comes from the weirdest of places, when I'm bored waiting for my constipated shit to drop into the toilet bowl, or even when I'm vacuuming the dust bunnies in my room... Honestly it's everywhere. Knowing that inspiration doesn't just drop from the sky, I value my personalized work. To be frank, I'm rather proud to call my work, MINE. If some bitch thinks she can just take my words and get away with it, she's so wrong!

I'm not happy about this, and I don't know what is the right thing to do. I don't know this girl in person. Thank goodness I don't, I don't want her in my life, faking around, then bitching about me elsewhere. In my mind, I'm gleefully coming up with ideas to get back at her, one after another, the list can never end. BUT. Being the nicer person that I am, ahem, I decided not to stoop so low and do mean things to people.

I will not reveal the identity of this faker, her territory, and what she plagiarized.
I will not do mean stuff to her.
(If I ever meet her, which I hope I don't. Yeah I don't like you, so cry me a river. I don't care)
I shall not let such insignificant people distract my concentration for my current exams.
I shall let her continue doing this horrible shameless act, until one fine day, some other people decides to give her a piece of their mind, BIG TIME, muahahahahaha....
I shall not let her trick me into developing ill feelings, and doing evil acts to ruin my good karma.

See? I can be nice when I want to *smile*

The only comfort I can take from this incident is, she's so stupid she can't even come up with her own ideas, and the sole reason she copied my work is because my work ROCKS.

Happy Nerding everyone. Freedom and happiness is not too far away.

P/s: If you're smart enough to poke around a bit, I don't see why you can't spot the plagiarizer yourself. It is really that obvious.

Marche Movenpick

Being unusually generous, I decided to treat Fluffy to good, and I mean, really good, sumptuous meal at Marche Movenpick, The Curve. Short glimmer of honesty, I've been having Marche cravings, hence I decided to ruin Fluffy's diet by bringing him along. The diet which he GLADLY abandoned for GOOD FOOD, the magic word.

Not to mention a rare opportunity for me to post up some pictures in this photo deprived blog... Blame the exams okay? Out of 100 shots of myself, 80 looks like Zombie Ling, 10 looks like some Wrinkly Ol' Ling, and the remaining 10 are Panda Lings. How to post without giving everyone a halloween scare???? *depressed*

The breathtakingly beautiful sight of The "Christmasy" Curve. So beautiful right? The things people do to attract business... They even hired a snow making machine, showering The Bazaar visitors with sudsy snow... absolutely romantic! *squeals*

At Marche...
Rule #1, always take a walk around, surveying all the available food and queue lengths. Use this data to plan what you're going to eat, and in what proportions, to achieve the maximum intake of a large variety of food, with minimal $$$ where the stomach size is the limiting constant.
This is something I religiously obey as it's useful for people like me who does not have "The Bottomless Pit" for a stomach, and a Money Tree in my backyard.

My weird outfit for the day. Was coughing (and still coughing) as a stress symptom, didn't want to add a cold to the already suffocating situation. So I wore a jacket. Oh and that's HoneyDew Juice in my hands =) which was lovely, not overly diluted, nor excessively sweetened =)

Rule #2, Save your drinks to cleanse your palate, to take in the full flavour of the food. Too many drinks, especially creamy ones brings premature fullness, and a hefty bill too *yikes*
This is one rule that I still find it difficult to follow, not when the drink tastes great!

The first thing that caught my eye in my Surveying Walk, MUSHROOMS... Sautéed Mushrooms!
Mr.Mushroom Chef was just removing the mushrooms from the hot pan, when we came, the aroma made my knees go weak *droolz* I swear. This steamy, creamy bowl of mushrooms is the tastiest, juiciest, yummiest fungi I have ever had, and only for Rm8. The moment it landed on my tongue, there were fireworks exploding in my mouth, and I think I heard the Hallelujah Chorus too... It was simply orgasmic, Fluffy went for second helpings without a second thought ( also partly because he's not picking up the tab mah...)

Rule #3, Try not to overdose on you favourite food. Too much a of good thing, and the uniqueness fades with it. I personally prefer to savour the everlasting impression of the flavour, until the next time Fate decides to reunite us again.

Gravad Lax Rosti, and Fresh Caesar Salad.
The salad was totally delicious, it's in the dressing... By the way, the serving is actually much larger, the both of us are hungry hyenas who forget about everything else, ie: taking pictures, when we see food. A perfect combination of some of my favourite foods, POTATOES and SALMON!!! Don't care if potatoes makes my bum bigger. It's already looking disproportionate, I'm sure a little bigger wont make any difference *self comforting* Although I usually prefer to take salmon raw, this is cooked just right, with the wonderfully, slightly crispy rosti. Although I did make an error in judgement here, observe the next rule.

Rule #4, No matter how fantastic starch based food tastes, take in small amounts, or take them later, because they are very very filling indeed! Makes you feel full, and then you lose your appetite for more food.

Highlight of the day

*drumroll*

Marche's X'mas special, Wagyu Beef Steak!!!
Don't know what exactly is this, except that it's a slightly more high class slab of cow flesh... That tastes so heavenly YUMMY..!! Not exaggerating here, this IS the most amazing piece of cow I have ever eaten *skips around in excitement* Medium rare makes it so juicy and tender, the flavour melts on your tongue then fills the mouth and the nose. Just makes me chew it forever and ever, extracting every bit of it holiness, before swallowing. This slab in the picture costs about 40 bucks, but the fact is, it's so totally worth every cent!
Rule #5, take you time to eat and indulge in that heavenly taste, but not too long or the food will get cold, or in my case, Fluffy will eat 'em all up.

The intricately decorated Christmas tree sitting in front of our table, next to the window to a beautiful view of The Bazaar. We had a good seat, away from the heat of the cooking, and the noise of the food stands. Somewhere that's a little bit quieter, with a good view, and much cooler too.

Rule #6, always find seats away from food stalls/stands, where there is a queue of curious people. I don't know about others, but I dislike people staring at my food, or the way I eat, makes me very uneasy, spoils the tasting experience. Can't play feeding with Fluffy with everyone staring, right? Yes, I'm very protective of my food.

A happy, poser, who had just had tasty food =)
Look at those swollen, dark eye bags, I have no shame posting this up.

Some camwhoring while we digest some of our food...
Rule #7, take some time off to digest, there is no prize money for speed eating. After digesting there will be more space for more food!!! Yay, MORE FOOD!

And for dessert, Fruity Crêpe with Chocolate Ice-Cream.
Freshly prepared upon request, it's filled with generous portions of sweetened mangoes, kiwis, and bananas with cream, artistically topped with Strawberry and Chocolate syrup. Just for contrast, a scoop of cold chocolate ice-cream to complement the warm crêpe. *Kiss my fingers* Ooh la la~~

Amidst the beautiful decorations, there' s a pale sickly looking zombie...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2008 everybody.
I pray that I will be able to start it with good health, and less pimples.

Blogging

Today I'm proud to announce that the following post was inspired by someone. I'm sure that person would be proud to know that =)

You know it's pretty funny that some people have the wrong opinion about my blog.

I started this right after my A Levels, and to my own surprise, I was able to commit and persevere to this date. Yeah, so it's not Pulitzer material, it's not great, I don't have 5 digit visitors per day like Kenny Sia, or catchy ads loitering around my blog. And most importantly, I'm perfectly happy with the way it is, and I cannot ask for anything better.

For starters, I'm not blogging for commercial purposes, like alot of them do now. Those who wants be part of the newfound road to fame and fortune, I'm not one of them. Creating a sexy image, bimbo image, for attention? Not me either, I'm a plain jane and I'm not ashamed of it.

Let me correct the people who thought wrongly of me. I think alot. Crappy stuff, whinny stuff, emotional stuff. Before this, I had it all locked up inside me with no vent. Having this new black hole where there's endless capacity for me to throw everything inside, is the most amazing thing that I've ever done for myself. This is the outlet that I've always needed. And the best part is, I can finish my dumb stories in anyway I like, without anyone snapping at me or making comments prematurely. There are also times when I'd like to spread my sometimes quirky ideas, but with good intentions. This is the platform for me. Really.

So some people disagree, or they think my ideas suck. You know what? I can't be bothered. These ideas are entirely mine. This blog is mine. Heck even the coding for this template is mine. In this simple website I have dedicated my energy, committed to it, taking it as a responsibility. Instead of throwing a few lines, and abandon it when I get tired of it. I'm not that kind of person. Even if no one cares to appreciate this to that level, I'm cool with it, as long as I can hold my head up high as a proud owner of this blog. But I do get offended when people judge me wrongly, or when they tell me what I shouldn't write about. Hello? Whose blog is this again? I talk about my thoughts, not others, not yours. I'll be happy to know when other people agree, I would also like to know when other people disagree. However, just because I write about stuff that people disagree about, doesn't mean they do not deserve to be displayed.

I believe this blog is entirely, me. It reflects the true me. And I choose to share it with the world. Now, who has the right over my intellectual property? I would really like to know.

Promises

It's easy to make a promise. But no one said it would be easy to keep one.

I don't know how other people interpret a promise. And frankly, I don't care, it's their right, they get to choose whatever suits them best. When someone promises me something, I expect them to follow my definition of a promise.

Everybody says stuff. Not everyone mean it all the time. I would say I disapprove of it, but it would make pretty much everyone else in the world very guilty. Let's just put it this way, we're all adults. When we say something, we have to mean it. Especially men. Oh, what's that cantonese chinese saying again? It goes something like, "gong dak chut, yiew jo dak dou". It means, if you have the balls to say it out loud, you must be able to do it. (The balls part is actually of my own addition, nothing to do with the saying.) I have lost trust in everyday words, I don't take them into heart 99% of the time. First of all, I HATE (with capital letters) getting disappointed. But when someone is gentleman/ gentlewoman enough to keep his/her word, I will be very pleased and that would make my day.

Ok fine, there are exceptions to it. There are, however, circumstances where words can't be kept for a million and one reasons. Humans are getting so creative, every new excuse seems so much more high tech than the other.

And then humans decided to come up with a concept of "Promises". A stronger level of words, more reliable than just saying. When someone promises, someone really means it, and will do it. It's something we can trust to happen, something we can rely on, something we can have confidence in, something that won't disappoint. Supposedly. By my definition, a promise should be kept at all times, no exceptions, no matter what. Yes, it is that sacred to me. If one is not sure that the promise can be delivered, don't make me a promise. I'd rather the person just "say", rather than "promise". Spare me of the disappointment, else I would feel like I'm being cheated to. Imagine having your spirits lifted up so high, giving you hopes, only to crush it all later on. The only excuses I would take for breaking promises are, family emergencies, when someone is in danger or when a life is at stake. Rain, traffic jams, exams, forgot-to-do-my-laundry, as excuses are unacceptable. Hey, it's not my fault that you're disorganized. When you make me a promise, I expect you to sincerely want to make something happen, by hook or by crook. At least, show some initiative and eagerness.

So what do you call a promise that has not been fulfilled, although there were plenty of excellent opportunities that the promise could be made to happen.

Broken or unaccomplished?
If it's unaccomplished? When will it be considered broken? Is it when I'm dead, and the promise has 0% chance of happening?

P/s: I'm on holiday now, wee~ Semester 3 is finally over, and dreadfully, exams are in January. Will be nerding, and whining on my blog more often now =)

Piano

It's been long, very long.

Feeling my fingers dancing on the keyboard as if on instinct, I'm amazed. My ears are awakened, carefully listening, delicately coordinating my next move. I decided that I would not use a book. It would be a lie if I claimed that it is a voluntary response. Because it's not. The music that it sung, so familiar and yet so strange. I've not played it, nor heard it in years. My first few touches were awkward, and the rest just sprang into life... Oh, how I miss that feeling.

For months, the piano has been staying put, pretty much untouched, until today. And yet it is still gleaming. My mom made sure that it's constantly polished and dusty, so it can always be ready, ready to be played, ready to create music. Mom has been telling me that she hasn't heard me play in awhile now. Since the commencement of my course last September, I regret to say that I've not spent much time on my piano, that has been with me for as long as I can remember. That is when I started exploring the mobile world of the guitar. Even during my lessons with Eric, I can't help but to imagine the keyboard on the fretboard.

What else do I remember? I remember loathing piano classes because they're a pain, amongst art classes, mental arithmetic classes, tuition classes, school classes, etc. I remember my fingers slipping and stumbling on the keyboard the moment I realise that someone is watching. I remember quitting piano classes to commit into cheerleading, a sacrifice I made for a spirited team of 20. I remember regretting that I quit, and started to play on self initiative. I remember playing nearly everyday in the wee hours of the morning during SPM, to relieve my stress. Yes, I remember. The songs that I've played. Richard Clayderman, my favourite.

Today I played again. It is a feeling unrivalled by the guitar. Definitely.

car accident

So I got into a car accident today. One of the cars was badly dented. Traumatised, I rummaged through my bag looking for my handphone. All I could think of was to call my boyfriend, to tell him that I was OK. No one was badly hurt, as the 2 drivers started to negotiate. Before I knew it, the other party was busy recruiting their people by the dozens. Without even glancing, I sighed. We are only a group of 5 female students. How can we possibly go up against such a large group of menacing looking people.

It rang... *thanks goodness*
No one picked up.

I tried again... It's still ringing *hopeful*
Still no one picked up.

I lost count of how many calling attempts I made. All I can remember was that none of the calls were answered.

And so I sat there, staring at the arguing, unrelenting drivers arguing in the rain. Cold and wet, I felt useless and scared. Partly grateful that no one was hurt, and that I can live a moment longer. What's next?

An hour later, he finally called.

"I was waiting for my phone to charge."

deleted post

Thank you for all your concern and comments. I'm feeling much better now, knowing I have friends out there who care about me. Unfortunately, I've developed a splitting headache even Panadol can't cope with. Speaking of Panadol, my house ran out of Panadol supplies because my domestic helper seems to ask for it very often. Drug addict in the house! It totally gets on my nerves even more, when I can't get drugs when I need them. Shall try to get my hands on some Ibuprofen later.

The previous post has been removed due to sensitivity issues.

On a lighter note, I had a great BBQ party that helped lift the depression. So now, it's no longer depression, it's been promoted to confusion. Well, better than nothing huh. Everyone else please stay happy...

Boots placement

OMG I'm so utterly flabbergasted! (cheh, already starting to use British slang...)

I can't believe that I was actually offered a placement with the Alliance Pharmacy and Boots Summer Placement Programme 2008! This is absolutely unexpected!

Thinking back, I submitted my application about 12 hours before the deadline, with the form getting through after a third round of submission. I thought it was a sign, that it was not meant to be, I was pretty upset at that time. The deadline was 7th November, and today is the 21st. Just 2 weeks later, the offer email popped up in my email to my delight. *squeals* Better still, Say Yuen is also one of the lucky few in our class to land an offer so we get to go together! *Double Squeals* I say this is the next best thing after my Biotech scholarship offer from Queensland U.

I'm not going to act, or try to hide my excitement, else I will be one of those fakers around... Just want to share some joy for a change, instead of sharing the pain =)

Apparently, I'm going to be working at Herefordshire, England for a minimum period of 8 weeks. This rural county on the West of England, somewhere towards the Welsh border is a scenic countryside which was home to some of England's finest poets. Stuff to expect there would be fruit orchards, dairy farming, vineyards, chapels, cottages, 16th century architecture, charming sceneries, poetry festivals, and music festivals. Yup, its pretty much a 'kampung', and the hourly rate is not as generous as London... but I will be earning more than Rm1.5 k per week, so I don't care. Everything in London is expensive anyway, plus how many tourist get to boast about going to the REAL English countryside, an Enid Blyton like setting? This is such a fairytale...

A good number of people have been quizzing me about my decision of not going to London. The next time someone ask me that, I have decided that I'm going to just answer, "Elementary, my dear Watson", because I'm too lazy to answer and I want to sound smart (but actually I'm not so smart) . That's Sherlock Holmes' famous quote for you literature noobs out there. To put it simply, adaptation takes time, and so does settling down at a foreign UFC (Unknown Fattening Country). In addition to that, London is reputable for its fast-paced, high quality, and expensive lifestyle. The majority of people there would either be really fussy, busy or plain bossy. Now, we wouldn't want any complaints from any meanie who decides to make our lives terrible now would we? Besides, if the pharmacy ain't going to be busy, it means more time for me to learn from my tutor! Anyway, I'll be working on trying to live solely on my paycheck, so somewhere with low living costs would definitely put me in the right direction =)

And let me just add, that I will be leaving in June'08 for this. That means shortly after my Sem2 exams in May, provided that I can pass them *SIGH* But before that, there's visa issues to settle, air ticket hunting and lotsa shoppingggg~~~ Another plus-sized problem to deal with now *sulk*

Broken Bed

Lately my baby Bernard has been working awfully hard, and so I decided to treat him to his favourite Lavender Oil Massage... He came to my room after dinner, and took a seat on my bed. Then... *PIIIIAAAAKKKKKK*

Yup, you guessed it, my bed broke. There goes my dream of Bernard picking me up on a great white stallion. I know I'll definitely feel guilty for life if the stallion was left with a broken back... I'm not particularly upset about it right now. Come on, not every guy can break a bed by sitting on it okay? Beware, if you bully me, I shall make my baby sit on you. It could be your back next, muahahahaha... I'm so mean, and I'm proud of my occasional mean streak!

The support of the plank-like thingies fell off, nails and all. That means the only real solution is to import my daddy all the way from Sungai Buloh to Semenyih, with his trusty Bosch and tools. So since we don't have anything of the sort, we had to resort to something else. Lynette has some pretty neat hammers, but the damage was pretty unforgiving...

In the end this is what we worked out... Should be able to stand till my Super Daddy comes to my rescue... provided that I keep Bernard away from it... Oh well, I can just hope that I can get some sleep tonight, despite the painful creak of my injured bed.

Despite my baby breaking my bed, and my baby sucking my socks into the vacuum cleaner... For all the weird things that you have done. I love you baby. I love the way you try to fix stuff for me, the way you always want to make everything better for me... I love you for who you are. And these are the times when I just adore you for you being, well, you =)

Bersih

Well since the BERSIH topic is hot on everyones mouth right now, I figure I'd join in the fun in the debate and discussion just for fun, lol...

I'm not a major fan in politics, so maybe I can shed some light through a less biased perspective on the matter.

First and foremost, I think its a pretty stupid ordeal. No offense to supporters of either side. I mean, seriously, don't you all have better things to do?

Watching the news coverage on Al Jazeera, (hohoho, Malaysian Media not reporting the incident at all, I wonder...) I heard the words, "This is democracy, Malaysian Style", followed by the footage of the event, large trucks armed with water cannons (damn lame ok? Like playing waterguns in Sunway Lagoon) showering the sea of yellow, in a feeble attempt to disperse them. MALAYSIANS! You should be ASHAMED of yourselves! Embarrassing yourself on international TV? Tsk, tsk tsk, there's nothing proud about showing the world that we're fighting among ourselves!

Think about it. The water is better off sold to Singapore, cheating in more of their currency. At least they're paying for the water, and people who are out there enjoying free showers don't. Wasting precious water like that, shame on you, think about the children in Africa who barely have clean water. The number of police recruited to do silly stuff like playing water with the citizens, forming road blocks and being human barriers are absolutely ridiculous! I mean, WE ARE THE TAXPAYERS, and we're paying them every hour to do silly stuff like that? Oh man... they're better off patrolling the streets of ChowKit catching China prostitutes (yes, it's personal and I hate them so much) and illegal DVD vendors. But don't do that too often lah, where else am I gonna get my supply from. If I were you, I'd hold a free Siti Nurhaliza concert nearby, since you're willing to spend the money anyway. I'm pretty damn sure that would be more effective than playing water games and road blocks. And damn, if the people want to gather and waste their time, let them do it, why do you care? Perhaps you have something to hide, I don't know. Either way, this is overreacting.

Not forgetting the huge load of people who ditched work, home, and family to walk there for a free shower, really free hor? Don't you have work to do, or kids who needs fetching, prayers to perform? (from morning till 4.30 pm, I think the Muslims are required to pray like 2 or 3 times?) I don't see how that is noble to turn up in yellow showing support by ditching all your other responsibilities behind? What about the shops that closed for the day, fearing the worse? It's not fair for them to sacrifice their income for your needs. Register this in your brains, while you were squeezing through the horrible traffic, sweating under the hot sun, and being tortured by water cannons , chemicals, the leaders you are fighting are enjoying a GLAMOROUS JOB, happily being interviewed by Al Jazeera like a celebrity, and meeting The King. In the meantime, your innocent compatriots get arrested for no plausible reason. Did your hero politician see the police to rescue you? No... I don't think so, haven't heard of it, correct me if I'm wrong. Oh, I think it seems that the 30,000 to 40,000 turn out was being used! What good is the politician when he ends up creating a lot of mess that you have to pick up after, in the name of justice for all? It doesn't make any sense to me. You don't even know if you're fighting for the right thing!

This paragraph applies for supporters of both sides. Sure, you know about one party's flaw. But what makes you so sure, that the other is not just manipulating you into neglecting the fact that they may be the worse off than your current target?

Have you forgotten about the people who need to get to work, get somewhere in time urgently? These road blocks could be ruining lives! Ambulances are not on strike, as well as the fresh organ delivery service! I dare not even starting counting the number of people who could die during the congestion for the SELFISH purposes of the government and the people. Your stupid strike is NOTHING, compared to the lives at stake. Malaysians are so shallow and inconsiderate, these are times when I'm embarrassed to be one.

Don't give me he said what, or who is better. ALL POLITICIANS ARE LIARS. They are in fact power hungry creatures who will do anything, and I mean anything to get what they want. People you've got to STOP BEING MANIPULATED BY POLITICIANS to achieve THEIR GOALS. In fact, we should be the ones manipulating the politicians into doing what WE want them to do, or what they PROMISED to deliver.

At the end of the day, you will ask, so this election discrepancy issue, how do we solve it? Well, you got the memorandum to the Agong didn't cha? I'm pretty sure there are other ways to get it to The King, without recruiting such a large number of people, as long as you know the right procedure, and The Network. People these days just don't seem to ask nicely for something... You're not much better off pressuring The King to do something you know? I don't understand why you all have to wear yellow, shouting "Daulat Tuanku", when The King have to make you go through all this before he decides to receive it. He could be enjoying the real life drama in the comfy palace. If he really wanted to do something for your side, he would've heard about the rally that was about to happen, and could've announced to receive it the MORE PEACEFUL way, without the people.

I'm not taking sides, and I feel that I'm seeing the clearer picture here. Both sides on the BERSIH issue are declared VERY GUILTY on my blog. The End.

Hypocrites

Welcome to my very first edition of , Word of the Day. Inspired by all that is around me, especially the stuff I think about when I'm too bored waiting for that piece of shit to fall into the toilet bowl.

Word of the Day: Hypocrite

Wikipedia says:
"A hypocrite commits hypocrisy."
"Hypocrisy
is the act of condemning another person for an act of which the critic is also guilty."

The Ling explains:
"Hypocrites are 50% of the people around us, whether you notice it or not. They often come conveniently in a package which consists of self centered-ness, cockiness, and a good deal of acting skills. These obnoxious people often talk too much for their own good, thinks they're all that, expecting the world to revolve around them. More often than not, they are actually the ones with the most flaws, and yet, they think of themselves as perfection brought to life. In actual fact, they are the perfect example to "empty barrels make the most noise". Normal habits include breaking promises, difficulty in being punctual, and a most admirable talent in creating an impressive amount of excuses that almost sound believable. Somehow, they make themselves sound so righteous, and they deserve exceptions. The professional hypocrite is capable of creating an impression that they are not a hypocrite at all, and hence is able to perform the crime in broad daylight without getting caught.

How to deal with Hypocrites:

If you're feeling nice,
Smile and laugh it off. That way you don't have to lie. If you lie, and agree despite the truth, that makes you no better than the hypocrite him/herself.

If you're feeling sarcastic,
Casually remind them with an excellent example of the criminal in action, and tell them what a great joke it was, that you nearly thought that the person was really a "hypocrite".

If you have a crush on that person,
You will think that person has no flaws, and you'll probably not realize that he/she is being a hypocrite at all. Just stare and drool since he/she is talking to you. Agreeing under crush-influence is excusable to a certain extent.

If you really hate that person so much you get constipation just thinking about that person,
Record that piece of conversation, and play it out loud (or repeatedly) the next time the crime is committed by the hypocrite."
